Reinteract is a system for interactive experimentation with python
You enter Python code and expressions and immediately see the results. What distinguishes Reinteract from a shell (such as IPython or the builtin interactive mode) is that you can go back and edit expressions you entered earlier and the results will flow through the part of the worksheet after the changed portion.
Things that Reinteract works well for include numerical experimentation, lightweight signal processing and data analysis, and just plain playing around with the Python language.

Cadabra: A field-theory motivated approach to computer algebra
Cadabra is a computer algebra system (CAS) designed specifically for the solution of problems encountered in field theory. It has extensive functionality for tensor polynomial simplification including multi-term symmetries, fermions and anti-commuting variables, Clifford algebras and Fierz transformations, implicit coordinate dependence, multiple index types and many more. The input format is a subset of TeX. Both a command-line and a graphical interface are available.

S5: A Simple Standards-Based Slide Show System
S5 is a slide show format based entirely on XHTML, CSS, and JavaScript. With one file, you can run a complete slide show and have a printer-friendly version as well. The markup used for the slides is very simple, highly semantic, and completely accessible. Anyone with even a smidgen of familiarity with HTML or XHTML can look at the markup and figure out how to adapt it to their particular needs. Anyone familiar with CSS can create their own slide show theme. It's totally simple, and it's totally standards-driven.
